Support Kindness With generosity
Our projects support those in need during the Myanmar crisis.
For our dear friends TKT and Susan, as they walk through this breast cancer journey during troubled times. They have been so dedicated throughout many years of partnership and friendship together. Let us support and love them in prayer, encouragement, and practical helps as we are enabled to do so.
Update May/June 2022: Thank you to all those who have given and prayed and encouraged! Susan has finished the prescribed radiation and chemo! Now there is a large number of tests and scans she is supposed to do. About USD $1000 is needed for these. We are hoping these scans will continue to show no cancer and that she is on her way to recovery.
Update January 2022: Susan has had 6 rounds of chemo pre-operation, which seems to have gotten rid of the cancer cells entirely. They had originally anticipated doing a mastectomy, but due to the success of the chemo, they gave her the option of doing a lumpectomy, which is relatively rare in their context. God provided the opportunity to have the lumpectomy surgery, and the doctors were amazed by the biopsy result that showed no cancer in the tissue they removed. Since lumpectomies are fairly rare there, they did not include radiation therapy in the original estimate of the treatment. (Radiation is usually not needed if someone has a mastectomy.) So, now there is a bit of an additional need for funds, about $2,600, for the radiation. You are welcome to help with this need.
